The first SLR camera I had a Nikon 2020, a film camera I bought with my own money - a whole summer's job worth - back in 1988. It was a great camera, but I admit I probably kept the thing on automatic most of the time.
In 2003 I bought my first digital SLR camera - a Panasonic Lumix camera, which I absolutely adored and on which I learned nearly everything I know about aperatures and shutter speeds, depth of field and macro shots. I used that baby into the ground.
I now have a Nikon D300, but I still have a soft spot in my heart for my old Lumix. Which is why, when this commercial showed up on TV, I didn't forward over it. And how I'm glad I didn't.
So for you photo lovers out there, a bit of a laugh for your weekend.
ha! all this makes me realize how badly I need a new camera. have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat's funny, although I did have to explain it to my son.
ReplyDeleteHope your foot is healing.
Thanks Tess! Have a good weekend yourself!
ReplyDeleteSo Heidi, if I were to get my very first digital SLR and I am seriously photography challenged, what would you recommend? I've been told the Canon Rebel is a good start. Thoughts?
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping that Santa will bring me a new camera this year...For some reason every time I take a photo I have three spots on it? I took it to a shop, but they said it can't be repaired...It's an HP and the lens doesn't come out. :(
ReplyDeleteLove it! I've been trying to take pictures with my point and shoot that I once loved and felt took fab shots! Now, they seem terrible after having my DSLR for two years. So warning to you if you decide to go back to your lumix. :)
ReplyDeleteMissing your photos over at your photo site lately. Hope all is ok still with your Nikon.
hahaha! That would be me! I intend to take a photography class one of these days. I'd LOVE to learn how to develop photographs, though part of me is afraid it'd become an all-out obsession.
ReplyDeleteBAH, HA, HA, HA!!!! I LOVED that!!!
ReplyDeleteThose interview questions and answers could have been lifted right out of a conversation the other soccer moms and I had while shooting pics for the high school soccer scrapbook. Great stuff!
